In 1965, the country invested a lot of resources in industry integration, and Shanghai Industrial Sewing Machine Factory was born, specializing in the production of "Shanggong" brand industrial sewing machines. Through the unremitting efforts and dedication of the workers, the first generation of industrial sewing machines in New China, GJ2-1 straw hat machine and GC1-2 medium speed flat sewing machine, were successfully produced in 1965. This marks a milestone in the development of China's sewing machinery industry.
